One of the most essential pillars of our campaign is the Citizen's Council, the mechanism that ensures this movement remains truly of the people, by the people, and for the people in the most literal sense. Unlike traditional advisory boards filled with insiders, lobbyists, or political appointees, the Citizen's Council is composed entirely of everyday Americans—farmers from the heartland, teachers from small-town classrooms, nurses from hospital shifts, veterans from every branch of service, small-business owners from Main Streets, single parents juggling work and family, elders who have seen decades of change, and young adults just beginning their journeys. These are not symbolic seats; they are working positions with real authority to review, recommend, and shape policy before it reaches any executive desk or legislative chamber.
The Council's purpose is to close the chasm that has grown between Washington and the rest of the country, the disconnect that allows decisions to be made in marble halls without ever feeling the weight of the lives they affect. Every major initiative is presented first to the Council for scrutiny, debate, and refinement. Members serve fixed terms, are compensated fairly so participation is open to all, and rotate to ensure fresh voices continually refresh the conversation. Transparency is absolute: Council meetings are public, minutes and recommendations are published online, and any member can call for investigation if they believe a policy strays from the public good. This is not performative; it is structural. It is the antidote to the cynicism that government serves only the powerful. It is our solemn promise that the trillions we redirect will never be diverted by special interests, that every decision will be weighed against the real-world impact on real families.
We designed the Citizen's Council because we know the American people are wiser, more practical, and more decent than the political class often assumes. We know the farmer understands soil health better than any bureaucrat, the nurse knows patient care better than any lobbyist, the veteran knows sacrifice better than any think tank. By placing them in the room where decisions are made, we ensure policies are grounded in lived experience, not abstract theory. We accomplish this through executive order on day one to establish the Council, bipartisan legislation to make it permanent and independent, and public recruitment that reaches every corner of the country. The Council is our safeguard against the arrogance of power, our commitment to humility in leadership, and our proof that a government can be both efficient and deeply democratic.
